Oly Rollers Talk Derby at GirlFest
The Oly Rollers packed up our wheels and headed north to Seattle's Quest Event Center on August 28, 2010 to attend GirlFest
2010. GirlFest is an awesome event put on by the Girl Scouts of America.
The goal of GirlFest is to celebrate everything cool about being a girl. Allowing girls to see all the potential oopportunies
in life from careers to sports to fun, GirlFest allows girls and their families participate in hundreds of hands-on
activities, try new things, and learn about resources and opportunities in our community--including Roller Derby! The Oly Rollers
had an absolute blast at this event teaching the girls and their families about derby.

Mayor Doug Mah
was the guest of honor at the Oly Rollers Cosa Nostra Donnas vs. Mad Rollin' Dolls' Dairyland
Dolls bout. It was awesome to have the Mayor of Olympia and his family cheer us on to victory! The Oly Rollers
really appreciate the Mayor's support of the Oly Rollers and of women in sports.
